Purpose
The UWCM founders' purpose was to help women in need, to promote the best possible public education for all, and to enjoy a life of the mind with other women.Our club still works to fulfill these goals, and we especially enjoy a spirit of camaraderie among our members of all ages (30's to 80's), who have a wide range of occupations and interests, and come from diverse backgrounds. Through our membership in the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) and the International Federation of University Women (IFUW), we also co-operate with university women worldwide on issues of importance to all women.
